Description

Who are we?
We are the Association of the leading Swiss Hotel Management Schools. The Association is composed of the 12 member schools and the committee, in which the professional organisations GastroSuisse and Hotel & Gastrounion also participate.

What do we do?
We are a consolidation of Swiss Hotel Management Schools, who educate national and international students. The schools teach in German, English, French or Italian. We strive to offer a professional, practical, modern and politically correct education in the branch of hospitality. Our main purpose is to confirm all the quality standards which we have established in the academic, professional and infrastructural fields.

Why do we do this?
Switzerland is well known as an education destination in Hospitality Management and has an excellent reputation worldwide with a long lasting tradition. It is our aim to protect and to sustain this reputation and therefore to improve the prestige of Switzerland as a place for education.

How do we do this?
We establish and review together over 120 quality criteria which our member schools must fulfill. As a result of the periodical verification of these criteria by our experts at the schools, we ensure that our members offer and realise an appropriate education in the hospitality sector. The communication between the member schools is always open and candid. Furthermore, we maintain contact with authorities and decision makers in the branch and inform the public about our members’ various offers.

What are our values?
Our schools shape future generations of employees and managers in one of the major industries in the world. This fact demands regular consideration of study programmes by the schools’ management bodies and they themselves are a model in a market-oriented business relationship with their students. This means that academic requirements are recorded in writing and are complied with, as well as that the communication between the schools, the students and all other partners are, at all times, honest and fair.
